FERRELL-ROSS PELLET CRUMBLER

The purpose of the Ferrell-Ross crumbler is to break pellets into smaller particles. The pellet crumbler is designed to be installed directly below a pellet cooler, like the Ferrell-Ross RC Series Coolers, and then the output can be re-routed to a separating screener like the Clipper Prelude, for classification. The overs or oversized particles are returned to the pellet crumbler for further size reduction, and the fines or undersized particles are returned to the pellet mill for re-pelleting. Ferrell-Ross pellet crumblers have chill cast iron rolls. The rolls are driven by a “V” belt drive enclosed in OSHA style guards. The roll gap is designed to maintain integrity with the tension roll spring. The Ferrell-Ross pellet crumbler has many advantages. Bolt on bearings, which require no bearing alignment. A robust bearing support and tension roll spring system, which handles roll separation forces. The pellet crumbler allows full access to rolls for inspection. Its sleek and compact design makes for a trouble-free installation.
